There’s information on the various road closures that will be in operation for the Nationals competition from Thursday until Sunday on the council’s website. In a nutshell:
- Thursday – roads are closed round the town centre and down Queen Elizabeth Way to Ingleby Barwick for the Time Trial.
- Friday – just the town centre is closed and parking restrictions in surrounding areas for the Youth Racing
- Saturday – the town centre will be closed and there’ll be a mass of cyclists leaving Stockton early in the morning and heading south into North Yorkshire (Sportive)
- Sunday – the town centre will have roads closed, parking restrictions and a rolling roadblock heading out along Durham Lane to the Redmarshall/Carlton area for the main Road Race and also the public Go Ride in the town centre.
There are parking restrictions in operation throughout the period especially around the town centre.
