Fundraising Evening Newcastle: Wednesday 21st October 6.30pm – 9pm

Looking for inspiration for a cycling holiday? Want to learn how experienced cyclists have planned cycle tours? Come and join us in the Journey, Newcastle for an evening of talks about long distance cycling.

These Sustrans Volunteers will talk about their long distance adventures:

Carole Jones – “Adventures on the North Sea cycle route” – Six countries in six weeks by a sixty year old! (666!). One hell of a route! Solo and unsupported!

Yvonne Ramage – “Coast and Castles South – there and back!” – How a husband and wife team of very average cyclists almost got to Edinburgh and back, inspecting Sustrans Millennium Mileposts along the way!

Stella Barnard – “The Kingfisher Trail” – Cycling 230 miles of NCN91 on minor roads through five counties of  Ireland

Chris and Peter Lloyd – “Cumbria to Greece and return” – A tale of cycling 3000 miles through Europe all with just one puncture!

Tickets are £8 and include a hot drink on arrival.

Tickets can be purchased from Eventbrite –

All of the proceeds go to Sustrans.
