This Sunday we’ve got our longest Hub ride of the year. While the weather is still good and after a nice long summer of bike riding, this ride is going to take in 37 miles and so is rated at Grade 4. Heading around Great Ayton, Little Ayton, Ingleby Greenhow, Great Busby, Stokesley & Seamer. The ride will be missing out the large banks heading into the Cleveland Hills and North York Moors and will also be missing out the trip up to Kildale as the Cafe there has now closed. Instead the Kildale Cafe Marshmallow Delight has been renamed to the Fletchers Fancy. Named so because Fletchers in Little Ayton will be the coffee stop instead of Kildale. So you’ve dodged a bullet there! The ride will be starting at the Hub at 10:30am prompt so please arrive at the Hub at 10:15am. We’re looking to average 10mph over the 37 miles which with Coffee stop included should take the ride to around a 3:00pm finish. So please make sure that you are okay maintaining that pace over a long duration.
As always bikes and helmets will be available to hire from the Hub and any punctures can be dealt with by our ride marshals. Please try to bring your own spare inner tube on the ride though. All of this is free of charge and just requires you to sign up as a member of the Hub.
Hope to see you Sunday!
