Cyclists show your support for Positively Stockton-on-Tees!

As part of the Positively Stockton-on-Tees campaign (see here for details) there will be the world’s biggest game of Chinese Whispers (#theloudestwhisper) being held up and down the borough.  Starting on Friday 13th and finishing Saturday 14th.

“From dawn until dusk a whisper, starting in Tilery (due to be featured in Benefits Street), will be passed throughout our community, by our community. We’ll show that Stockton-on-Tees has MANY voices – and that sometimes the quietest ones can be the most powerful!

Let’s show the UK what Stockton-on-Tees is really about: resilient, resourceful and blooming remarkable!”

The first day of whispering (more information) will be ending outside the Stockton ARC on Dovecot street.  The organisers would really like to get as many cyclists as possible joining the caravan as it departs.  So please if you can head down for 4:45 – 5:15 on Friday 13th to show your support for Stockton & for Comic Relief!

“Street Sounds, Stockman Pies, Dance, Circus and Choirs will bring our whisper to a temporary halt as we celebrate in a loud and lively end to the day!

To take part in the game, report inside ARC from 4.45pm – 5.15pm ready to be directed to a position inside and out the building ready for the game which will commence via the sounding of a hooter at 5.30pm. Then stay for a loud and proud send off of the whisper!

ARRIVAL: Try to arrive 30 minutes before your game is about to take place, (times and places below). On arrival look for large Psst…signs and make yourself known to anyone in an orange Psst…hoody – our Whisper Crew! They will direct you to a place within the game-zone line that will enable you to take part!

We are trying to create a SINGLE FILE line so please help this to happen by taking instruction from our Whisper Crew.

It’s your chance to show your support for the campaign and be part of this great community event for Comic Relief – all we ask is that you wear something orange – a hat or a scarf would do but if you’ve got a whole wardrobe of orange outfits, go for it!”
