Welcome to the Hub in Stockton-on-Tees

The Hub is the UK’s first active travel and cycle parking centre. We offer free information and advice on all aspects of cycling and walking, with regular guided rides and walks, and training courses on cycle maintenance and on road cycling.  Also, our cycling parking facility is completely free with no hourly limits, just make sure you pick it up the same day you drop it off!

The Hub is part-funded by Stockton Borough Council and Sustrans the charity. Sustrans is the charity making it easier for people to walk and cycle.

We connect people and places, create liveable neighbourhoods, transform the school run and deliver a happier, healthier commute. Join us on our journey. www.sustrans.org.uk

Appleby Awayday – Friday 20th April.

This months Awayday walk takes us to the very scenic town of Appleby-in-Westmoreland for a 1.9 mile turn around its interests.

The day includes a circular walk from Boroughgate passing along St Anne’s Hospital & Appleby Castle. The walk then crosses the River Eden returning along Bondgate and re-crossing the river. A final loop around the cricket field and gym and a stretch along a riverside path before returning to the centre of town.

Following the walk you will have approx. 2 hours to discover Appleby Town centre and you can take in the shops and immerse yourself in the Cumbrian culture!

The coaches will depart from Ragworth Neighbourhood Centre at 9.30am, returning back to Ragworth at approx. 4.00pm. There is a small charge made to cover the travel costs, this is £5 for members and £8 for non-members. Please note: Booking is essential – this can be done by simply calling 0752 832 6094, or emailing to steppingoutinstockton@gmail.com . Stout footwear and sensible clothing is advisable.

We hope to have you with us on this exceptional trip!
